Periodic Fix Wire Testing

Fixed Wire Testing is also referred to as a Periodic Inspection and Testing Report of a Fixed Installation. It is a report on the electrical wiring of a property or installation outlining any defects that could be a safety hazard.

All companies have an obligation to adhere to the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 ensuring that electrical installations within their premises are safe for use as detailed below:

• To protect persons against electric shock and burns.
• Safeguard the property against damage from fire and heat arising from an installation defect.
• Confirmation that the installation is not damaged or deteriorated so as to impair safety.
