James Wensley  CEO

James started Wensley & Lawz six years ago to provide a full range of compliance services to commercial property companies.  James ensures that the team provide a high level of service to all our clients. With a background in property and over twenty years commercial experience James is keen to build on our success.

At home James enjoys sailing on the local reservoir with Susie, Danny and Chloe and sharing curries with friends.

Adam Carr  Director

Adam is responsible for the client management and business development aspects of Wensley and Lawz. Having a career background in Commercial and Residential property to include, planning, site acquisition, project management, and sales and marketing.

Outside of work Adam is an active member of his local branch of round table, a keen mountain biker, a dedicated Husband to Jo and father to two small children.

Isobel Stride

Isobel is responsible for the day to day running of our surveyor’s diary, involving client liaison and appointment making. Isobel, for many of our clients, is the Wensley and Lawz principle contact.

In her home life, Isobel enjoys coastal walks and holds a Gold Bar level in Latin and Ballroom dancing

Jeremy Couper

Jeremy Couper is project leader for the main Health & Safety/ compliance services that we offer. He is the senior surveyor for Asbestos, Fire Risk assessments and Health & Safety in the workplace risk assessments. He also project leads the measured building surveys including legislation plans, full measured plans (to RICS code of practice) and lease plans, as well as being level 3 qualified as a commercial building Energy Assessor.

Jeremy qualified as an Architectural technician and since then has furthered his training in all areas of building surveys, principally concentrating on health & safety compliance building assessments.

Doug Whiffen

Doug is responsible for the technical development of Wensley & Lawz, heading up the project management of larger projects and getting stuck into more unusual and demanding projects that are encountered. He has a degree in engineering with a sustainability slant and is a Level 4 Energy Assessor, as well as having been involved in the training of several hundred energy assessors in recent years.

Away from the office Doug has interests in maintaining and running old Peugeot Cars as well as being an active member of his church and chairing the committee of a local community centre.
